Updating Roland VersaWorks
In this issue, you will learn how to update your Roland VersaWorks RIP software. We will explain how to do this both manually and automatically, so that you have both a recurring way and an immediate way of performing this necessary task.
Updating Roland VersaWorks Automatically
Follow these step-by-step instructions to run the Roland@NET automated software updater. It is important you complete each step in the order you see them here to ensure proper installation.
NOTE:
i. You must have Roland VersaWorks installed on the computer
ii. You must have a live internet connection connected to the computer
iii. Roland VersaWorks must be connected to your Roland printer.
1. Start VersaWorks and go to Edit > Preferences.
2. In the Preferences window, select the Roland@NET tab.
3. Check the Download Updates Automatically and Notify option and select the frequency you prefer for receiving updates. We recommend you
set this to every week.
4. In Update Options, check Download Media and Color Profiles and select All Available Updates.
5. Click OK.
Your first Roland@NET update will not occur immediately. This point marks the beginning of an update cycle, and the program will download your first update after the interval of time you specified in Frequency has passed.
